How to put A Human on Mars

| |

Imperial Scientist and Engineers spent weeks creating and filming a mock manned mission to Mars in 2013, in a collaboration between the college and the BBC.
For the five part How to put a human on Mars programme, researchers designed a mission that involved sending three-person crew to the Red planet aboard a small craft. This capsule would rotate to generate artificial gravity, use heat shield to protect itself against solar flares, and descend to the Martian landing site using multiple parachute.
