Meet your new language Tutor on Chrome

Learning a new language is fun. But it can be much more fun if complimented with this language tutor tool on chrome. There are of course several activities that will usher you into learning a new language like podcasts and watching TV and movie channel in the language of choice.

However, If you think youre not making the desired progress at learning your targeted language, then this chrome app is for you, Ill like you to acknowledge with me a chrome app called Language Immersion for Chrome (LI). LI will easily get you started learning a new language and as well keep you up with knowledge you already have on a language until you master it.

To get started, simply help the language tutor app understand your level of understanding of the targeted language by rating your fluency which is from novice to proficient.

LI will integrate language phrases and words from your chosen language into the web pages you visit on a daily basis, the chrome tool depends on Google translator which provides translation in up to 64 languages.
Download the language immersion for chrome and install on your PC, subsequently, youll see an icon that appears by the right side of the URL bar, simply click on that icon to choose your targeted language and choose how well you can speak the language and youre set for learning.

The tool will slip into the websites you visit a couple of your chosen language, you can easily change the whole page back to primary language in case you get stuck, also available is an option to translate slipped in phrases with voice translation from Google translate.

As your performance improves more phrases are translated into your targeted language until youre able to translate a whole in the targeted language yourself which might mean fluency.

The tool may not be all you need to learn a new language, but it sure can compliment your learning efforts and make learning that language easier and much more faster.

The Physicist Stephen Hawking has alerted that the emergent of new technologies many likely give birth to "new ways things can go wrong" for the survival of Humans.

Stephen Hawking says New Technologies could make Human Race Self-destruct

When questioned how the world will end — "naturally" or whether man would put an end to it — Hawking explained that, most of the threats the human race is facing emanates from progress made in science and technology.
He itemized but a few, like nuclear war, catastrophic global warming and genetically engineered viruses.

"However, we will not establish self-sustaining colonies in space for at least the next hundred years, so we have to be very careful in this period," he joked, provoking laughter from the audience.

"We are not going to stop making progress, or reverse it, so we have to recognize the dangers and control them. Im an optimist, and I believe we can,"he further explained.

3D Printing: Innovations New Lifeblood

To many, 3D printing is little more than a toy. A toy that mostly prints toys. To others, its a prototyping tool good for a hands-on feel of a manifested idea but not much more.
Yet for a select few, 3D printing is the heart of innovation, and each new iteration is pumping the futures lifeblood.
Here are some of the innovations 3D printing is bringing to life.

The Pulse Behind the Tech

For years, scientists have wanted to create the equivalent of Star Treksreplicator in the real world and have sought to develop the necessary technology.
The 3D printer was invented in the mid-1980s, according to a report by Michael Vidikan, founder of Future in Focus. While it was a rudimentary model, as inventions are wont to be, "progress in the industry has been slow but steady."
It isnt only scientists and sci-fi fans who want to see 3D printing come to fullStar Trek replicator functionality. Industries across the board envision substantial benefits once the technology is perfected. Some see benefits now.

The 3D Pulse Quickens

Known in the manufacturing sector as "additive manufacturing," or AM, 3D printing is used heavily in prototyping already. There is also some use of it in producing machine parts, since additive manufacturing -- the layering of materials to make a product -- generally is faster and more cost effective than subtractive manufacturing -- the cutting or pressing a product out of a material, thereby producing waste.
"In the coming year, we are going to see 3D metal parts being flight-tested in real applications, not just trivial parts -- e.g., brackets, hinges, flanges -- attached to noncritical components," said Tim Simpson, professor of mechanical engineering at Penn State.
"Itll be done in the aerospace industry, which will then cause everyone else to fully commit to additive manufacturing. No one wants to be the first, but once someone else has done it, then no one wants to be last!" he told TechNewsWorld.
"Meanwhile, companies that dont get into the game will start to lose employees to those that are readily using AM, which will create a further divide between companies that want to do AM and those that can do AM," Simpson added. "Buying a machine is the easier part; learning how to run it well is challenging."
Expect to see a seemingly sudden uptake in 3D printing in the manufacturing sector shortly -- first in producing existing products, but quickly moving into innovation.
"The main benefits are low cost, speed, versatility and innovation," said Jorge M. Zuniga, director of the 3D Research & Innovation Laboratory at Creighton University.
"The use of 3D printing brings professionals from different areas to collaborate, and innovation is a side effect of these collaborations," he told TechNewsWorld.
However, manufacturing isnt the only industry using 3D printing to its advantage or planning to increase that use going forward.

Infusions of New 3D Printing Blood

"Industries leveraging 3D printing in a sizable way today include dental; some other medical, such as hearing aids and surgical models; some limited and specific aerospace applications; and then the widely applicable consumer space for education, design and customization of collectibles," said Michael Raphael, CEO of Direct Dimensions.
"I look for applications where the design is essentially consistent yet where each of them is unique for some reason," he told TechNewsWorld.
Ease of customization arguably is most appealing to the medical and dental sectors, according to Raphael.
"Dental and medical are obvious. Teeth are essentially the same, but each is different. 3D printing shines for these applications because no tooling is required, and you can make them each unique just as easy as you can make them all the same," he said.
"Following this paradigm, I look for adoption in other human body-related products. Medical devices provide a good case, such as orthotics, braces and splints. Other extractions would include protective gear, sports and performance gear, and footwear," Raphael added.
The same holds true for printing customized human body parts.
"Patients have already received 3D-printed jaws, ribs, sternum, teeth, tracheas and skulls," said Steven J. Hausman, president of Hausman Technology Presentations.
"There will be no part of the body that will not be duplicated in the future, ranging from inexpensive customized prosthetics to bioprinted organs using the patients own stem cells so that tissue rejection will not be an issue," he told TechNewsWorld.
Medicines increasingly will be 3D printed, partly driven by the need to contain healthcare costs and partly by President Obamas precision medicine initiative.
"In August 2015, the FDA approved the first 3D-printed prescription drug -- no doubt to be the first of many," said Hausman.

Mobile First Responder

Another advantage to 3D printing is its ability to serve as a supply chain in remote areas and mobile venues.
"A low-gravity 3D printer that is able to operate in space has been created," said Hausman. "This will permit the crew of the International Space Station to create replacement parts when needed without the necessity of awaiting a resupply mission from Earth. Similarly the ability to manufacture parts on demand has clear utility in military ships at sea."
Imagine its use in disaster areas where blood, organs, artificial limbs, blankets, life-saving equipment and even food can be produced on the spot.
"3D printing has gained traction in the food industry, wherein pasta, candy and other foods can already be printed," said Chinh Pham, who co-leads the emerging tech practice at Greenberg Traurig.

Industries in Transition

"The worldwide 3D printing industry is expected to grow from about $3 billion in revenue to close to $13 billion by 2018, and exceeding $21 billion in revenue by 2020," he told TechNewsWorld.
Its impact wont be entirely benign as it will disrupt several traditional industries, including shipping, which will be affected as manufacturers and retailers begin shipping 3D printer code instead of goods. Supply chains on every front will feel the impact as well. How each is affected depends on how well it adapts to the change.
Stores such as Staples, FedEx and UPS already are moving to adapt their business models to the upheaval 3D printing is likely to bring.
Retailers too may find it hard to compete when consumers can order 3D printing codes directly from designers and manufacturers and customize that code on their home 3D printers. Notions of bulk sizing will disappear as clothing printed to each customers exact measurements replaces sizes 0 to 18 for women.
All these changes will spur additional innovations as time progresses, personalization becomes imperative, and the technology and materials improve.

Google may soon outsmart FaceBook, Whatsapp and others with New (under-development) Messaging Tool-Chat bot

It was reported about a week ago by the Wall street Journal that the online Tech Giant-Google is secretly developing an Instant messaging app to compete with Facebook, Whatsapp and the likes.

The app was envisioned to oppose the monopolised influence of Facebook, WeChat and Whatsapp messenger.

The messaging app is more of Intereactivity between friends who uses the app, it promises an extremely new Chat functionality that will allow users ask questions from the tool (chatbot) which will then turn to the Google search engine and other unknown information library to present related answers to users query.

The Application will demonstrate an interlocutory relationship with its user, It can learn the allergies, preferences and users personal information and use it to provide bespoke Information.

It was recently researched that there are more than 2 billion mobile device users getting connected with friends and relations on the go with Instant messaging apps like the popular Whatsapp and facebook messenger, Google with its Hangout tool desired to have its fair cut of this number of users but the Google Hangout tool appears to be a utter failure as it couldnt get its desired Audience.

Google did not yet disclose any relevant information as to what the name of the messaging tool would be nor information about the on-going development of the tool.

However, the US daily says it might take Google about 12 months to work on this application before its finally made available for public use.

Android Marshmallow 14 new AWESOME features

Android Marshmallow: 14 new AWESOME features

Page 1 of 2Android Marshmallow: 14 new AWESOME features

Google releases a slightly improved version of Android - but with Android Marshmallow, it’s pulled out all the stops.  The latest version of Android adds new features like the battery-saving Doze mode and the brand new Google Now on Tap – and it’s the biggest update we’ve seen to Google’s mobile OS in a ages. Still not sure if you should upgrade? Here are 14 reasons we think Marshmallow is the best version of Android we’ve seen.

1. Android Pay

Much like Apple Pay, Android Pay allows users to store credit and debit card information on their smartphones, and then wirelessly pay for goods and services quickly and securely. To make it more secure, Android Pay uses a virtual account number instead of your own, and also keeps a detailed history of purchases made using the app.
If you’re unlucky enough to lose your phone, Google has you covered. Android Device Manager makes it easy to remotely lock and wipe your Android device in the event of loss or theft.
The only catch? Android Pay has been in the US since late September, but we still don’t know when it’s coming to the UK.

2. USB Type-C
Nexus 6P review: USB Type-C makes an appearance on the bottom edge of the phone

USB Type-C represents the holy grail of connections. It’s silly-fast, can be used any way up – and it’s going to be the most commonly used connection in the next few years. What’s more, it also allow for much faster charging than conventional cables: it can fully charge a Nexus 6P in around two hours.
As you’d expect, Android Marshmallow is futureproofed with built-in USB Type-C support, so as long as your smartphone has the connection, Marshmallow can take advantage of it.

3. Adoptive Storage

Most Android phones allow you to insert some form of memory card, but previous versions of Android always treated it as a separate entity. While that’s great if you want to swap memory cards around – it can be annoying if you want to use the memory card as a permanent storage solution. That’s where Adoptive Storage comes in. Rather than treating the memory card as a separate storage space, Marshmallow can treat it like the rest of the memory on your phone. The result? You can use your memory card space without any fuss.

4. Now on Tap

One of the biggest changes to Android Marshmallow comes in the form of Google Now. Although it may look the same as before, Google Now is now pre-baked into every area of the OS, and it’s cleverer than ever. Google Now’s focus is now on “context”, and that means the digital assistant will be better at understanding where you are, and what you’ll need to know as a result.

5. System UI Tuner

Marshmallow fixes one of our biggest pet peeves with the Android operating system. Google’s mobile OS uses the status bar at the top of your screen for key information about reception, battery life and more – but it can get crowded and scruffy at times.
With the System UI Tuner, users can now add their battery percentage to the system tray, and choose which other things they want to be displayed there. The result? Your Android phone will only show the information you want to see.

6. Improved Copy and Pasting

Although it seems like a relatively simple task, previous versions of Android made cutting and pasting text a fiddly, frustrating affair. Before, Google’s OS forced you to go to the top of the screen to cut, copy and paste – but Marshmallow lets you hover just above the selected text. If that sounds familiar, that’s because it’s exactly what iOS already does – but we’ll forgive Google as it’s a vast improvement over its original solution.

7. Custom Google tabs

Best Android Marshmallow features

Google Chrome is one of the best mobile browsers around, and Marshmallow makes it easier for developers to integrate into their own, third-party apps. That means you don’t have to switch applications when you need to browse the web, and it also means that when you are let loose on Googles browsers, all of your passwords and logins are stored and ready to go. The result? The whole browsing experience is much more seamless.

8. Clear permissions system

A new Chrome extension may make facebook loss millions of Advertisement earnings

Many people believed Facebook is going overboard by trying to spy its millions of users and extract as Much information it can lay its hands upon for marketing purpose.

They dig deep into what is flying around on the social media between friends, groups and individuals, this off set Juraj Ivan who in about 24 hours developed a chrome and safari extension that will kill all of Facebook strategy to advertise or cunningly compel its users to perform a task.

The chrome app works like an ad-blocker, the apps named "your Facebook friend feeds" once you start using the app all feed from Facebook can be blocked off except for ones you intentionally permit. You only see information directed to you from friends alone and not some obtrusive messages like "your friend just like..."

Myself, Ive sometimes perceived social media as time zappers, simply because Facebook will try every effort to keep you on the website for as long as possible. They know more time you spent on the website is more means to market their services to you.

The Slovakian Developer explains that it took him just 24 hours to develop the tool.

Yesterday  developed this simple chrome extension, that hide all stories that are not directly from your friends or pages you follow. As a result of it, i already stopped visiting Facebook so often, its enough to visit once, twice s day and i dont miss anything important from ny friends".

He further explained what instigate him to develop the tool:

"I realized that i visit Facebook too often because there is always something new, but mostly its stories from people snd pages I dont follow. But these stories appear on my news feed because my friends like them. Having my newsfeed cluttered like that i often miss stories from friends themselves".

We really cant say if this tool has come to stay, because i think the team at Facebook should be unto it by now.

New Little iPhone May Sprout This Spring

New Little iPhone May Sprout This Spring

The model reportedly will be called the "iPhone 5se" -- for "special edition" -- and will be offered at the same price point as the iPhone 5s.
The iPhone 5se will have design features similar to the 5s, which was released in 2013, but it will have internal, hardware and software features gleaned from more recent models, according to the report, which cited unnamed Apple sources. Those features include the following:
 • Curved glass edges like the iPhone 6 and 6s;
 • 8-megapixel rear and 1.2-MP front cameras;
 • Support for panorama photos and for autofocus in video mode;
 • A barometer to track elevation in the Health app;
 • An NFC chip for use with Apple Pay;
 • The iPhone 6s A8 and M8 processors;
 • Support for Bluetooth 4.2, VoLTE and 802.11ac WiFi, all found in the iPhone 6s;
 • Live Photos from the 6s;
 • A headphone jack; and
 • 6s color offerings in silver, space gray, gold and rose gold.

Cant Wrap Hands Around Phone

Release of the rumored iPhone 5se could be a winning strategy for Apple.
"It seems very likely that Apple has demand for a 4-inch iPhone, and that they will accommodate the market with one some time this year," said Tim Bajarin, president of Creative Strategies.
"Its a very likely and viable product. It wont be their best-selling phone, but it will offer an option for folks who are interested in that size screen, said Bob ODonnell, chief analyst with Technalysis Research.
Apples newer models with larger screens are not pocketable, noted Ramon T. Llamas, a senior research analyst for mobile devices technology and trends atIDC.
"There are lots of Apple users out there who like Apples products but cant wrap their hands around some of these larger phones, even if theyre only 4.7 inches," he told TechNewsWorld. "The [iPhone 5se] is an acknowledgement of what some customers have been asking for some time now."

Balancing Price and Features

A number of Apple users are sticking with older iPhone models like the iPhone 5 and 5s because of the size issue, Llamas pointed out.
"On the other hand, people dont want to skimp out on every feature," he said. "They may not get 3D touch with the [iPhone 5se], but theyre going to get Apple Pay, Siri and FaceTime."
"The se stands for special edition, but maybe they should call it the ge for good enough," he noted.
"Youre not getting all the latest, greatest features," Llamas continued, "but youre getting the features that most people can get by on."
A number of factors would be needed for the iPhone 5se to be successful, said Carolina Milanesi, chief of research at Kantar Worldpanel ComTech. They include a price tag lower than other iPhone models, features that drive user engagement and monetization for Apple, and enough differentiation that consumers who can afford to buy a more expensive model will do so.
"I feel that Apple has learned from the 5c, and if all the rumors about the [5se] are true, they would hit all my points," she told TechNewsWorld.
"What I feel people should not count on is a drastically cheaper iPhone, as this is still not Apples business," Milanesi said.

Breaking Cadence

If Apple were to introduce an iPhone with a 4-inch display, it would expand the screen options for customers looking to upgrade their phones.
"Many people, especially with smaller hands, prefer the 4-inch models, while others like the 5-inch and 5.5-inch versions," Creative Strategies Bajarin told TechNewsWorld.
"Apple would just be giving customers more options," he added.
The iPhone 5se also could open up a worthwhile revenue channel for Apple.
"If youre Apple and you see how much of your revenue is driven by the iPhone, youll want to take a look at some adjacent markets where you can reap incremental revenues, while at the same time leverage what you already have in place," IDCs Llamas said.
Although a release of a new iPhone in the spring would break the cadence for phone introductions -- theyre usually released in September -- Apple has been known to break cadence now and again.
"Every once in a while Apple will do something like that -- just slip a product out all of sudden," Technalysis ODonnell told TechNewsWorld. "It tends to be a modestly iterative version of a previous product. I think thats how theyre going to treat this one."

The New Year SMS tradition on the line of extinction

In France, all operators except Free SMS announced declines  in numbers of messages sent by their subscribers.
For Orange, the number of SMS sent between 21 hours and 2 am (Jan. 1) decreased by 14% compared to the previous year. For Bouygues, the decline was even 20% while at SFR, subscribers have sent 10% less SMS to wish a happy new year.

Free one, which acquired many new subscribers may rejoice to see that number of SMS sent up. But in the whole, more and more people prefer to use MMS with video or pictures or messages via chat applications such as Messenger, WhatsApp and others. As in France, Chinese operators have also noticed a decrease (35%) of the number of SMS sent.

It seems that the time of bundled SMS sent on the day of the new year is over. If you are looking for your wishes, look in your inbox Facebook or WhatsApp.

REVIEW HTC One X Early Pioneer New Super phone

Competition in the smartphone market is not only heated by the competition between operating systems, but also between the smartphone with the same operating system, especially Android. As the operating system most widely used, Android makes the vendor who would not want to adopt to bring innovation to the arming of whiz-whiz specs Android with the best or at least other features than others.

Not infrequently, the Android-based device sets a new standard for smartphones. You remember the first dualcore smartphone, Optimus 2X and the first 3D smartphone, HTC Evo 3D. Both are based on Android, and HTC unveiled the latest One-X, the worlds first smartphone with quad-core processor, which means doubling the power dualcore processor. Is this the beginning of a new era of super-phone?

Design

Dimensions: 134.4 x 69.9 x 8.9 mm, 130 grams; full touch screen; unibody, polycarbonate plastic material and the gorilla glass; 3.5 mm audio port, the power / lock, microSIM tray; volume rocker; mic hole; microUSB port (phone around from the side above) .3 capacitive buttons below the screen (back, home and recent apps)
Sturdy yet elegant, it looks like the two words as one who tried to be realized by HTC in One-X. Smartphone (or you can call it super-phone) is carrying the distinctive body design of unibody where the back of the phone casing to connect to the sides and front of the phone part. Practically only the screen and a little area around the main camera lens that does not blend with the main body.

One-X curve body is made of polycarbonate plastic material is strong and scratch resistant. Parts of the screen not to be outdone, the gorilla glass is protected equally recalcitrant.

There are other things that are also interesting in terms of design, a hole in the second part of the speaker (earpiece and loudspeaker), is made so small even smaller than water droplets. So at least the user does not have to worry when One-X exposed to splashing water.

HTC also minimizes the physical buttons by simply placing two rocker volume button on the right phone. Although classified as jumbo, One-X still seemed ideal when attached to your ear when used to call.

Display

Super IPS touch screen capacitive LCD2, 16 million colors, 720 x 1280 pixels, 4.7 inches (~ 312 ppi pixel density), multi-touch, Corning Gorilla Glass
From the above specification, of course you can imagine how "well" this One-X screen. From what we feel, the viewer of this phone is so amazing, is not excessive even if caught on the HDTV Brightness (brightness), contrast, and sharpness of the displayed image is so perfect, especially the screen is able to display it in HD resolution.

Not just about quality, screen size which is closer to 5 inches wide and guarantee satisfaction, especially for users who like to browse the internet, play games and watch movies on mobile phones.

Operating System and UI

Android OS, v4.0.3 (Ice Cream Sandwich), HTC Sense UI 4.0
Appear attractive on the outside and One-X is not less interesting on the inside. This smartphone has an operating system update on the most popular and most Android Ice Cream Sandwich plus a user interface that is typical HTC called “HTC Sense UI version 4.0”.

Active lock screen interest can still be found in this latest HTC Sense, but not so with the carousel effect when switching panels on the home screen.

Habit of using old versions of Android too often guilty of making us hit the "recent apps" because it was considered the "menu", but it only took me a while to get used to this.

In addition to the home screen, the main menu also had a little revamp. At the top of the screen that was showing only the tab names (all, frequent or downloads), is now adorned with a selection of search to conduct a search, Play Store as a shortcut into the market substitute for the Android Market applications, and menus to the main menu settings such as what determines Based on the application sorted.

Hardware

Quad-core processor 1.5 GHz, Nvidia Tegra 3chipset, ULP GeForceGPU, RAM: 1 GB RAM, Internal Storage: 32 GB (only can use 26 GB), external: -, 1800mAh battery
As mentioned previously One-X is the first smartphone to use a quad core processor. Make the phone as a top class product Android smartphone. Unmitigated, speed was up to 1.5 GHz and 1GB of RAM memory is supported.

If you should find these phones lack, of the absence of a microSD slot for additional storage capacity through the external memory. But, anyone who needs extra if this phone already has 32GB of internal storage space?

Connectivity

GPRS, EDGE, HSDPA, 21 Mbps; HSUPA, 5.76 Mbps, Wi-Fi 802.11 a / b / g / n, Wi-Fi Direct, DLNA, Wi-Fi hotspots, Bluetooth v4.0 with A2DP, NFC, microUSB (SFM ) v2.0
Just read the specs above, and you will realize that One-X has all the connectivity options that you may need at this time. 4G is absent, but we also do not clearly see signs of its emergence in our homeland in the near future.

Camera

8 MP, 3264x2448 pixels, autofocus, LED flash, Simultaneous HD video and image recording, continuous shooting, geo-tagging, auto upload, face detection and smile detection, a secondary camera 1MP; 1080p @ 30fps video recorder, stereo sound rec., Video stabilization
This sector also changed since the new version of HTC Sense UI on One-X. When running this feature, users will immediately see the viewfinder area. On the right there is a blue button to access the shortcut to the selection effects and gallery.
On the same users will also find the shutter button and the video recorder. This means that the camera mode images and video recorders are now united and not only that, users can even record video and take pictures at the same time. The camera feature also features continuous shooting, in which the user is possible shoot some pictures with just one pressing the shutter button.

Results Camera

One-X camera shots of course have good quality. Its just that this camera has a few weaknesses in terms of color reproduction, especially in certain lighting conditions.

Internet Browser

Multi-tabs, Flash player, HTML, bookmarks, history, downloads, pinch zoom, print, share page.
Surfing the Internet is always fun when done with a high end Android device. Similarly, One-X, but this phone has advantages over the screen thanks to extensive.

Benchmark

Application used: Quadrant Standard Edition by Aurora Softwork and Antutu Benchmark v2.7.3 by Antutu
We have suspected that this phone will result in scores that weve never seen before and of course we conjecture is true. Using Benchmark Antutu, One-X recorded 11,064 points, while using the phone application Standard Quadrant scored 4,940.

(+)
• Unibody Design
• Ice Cream SandwichAndroid & HTC Sense 4.0
• 32GB Internal Memory
• Processor Quadcore
• 4.7-inch Screen
• 8MP Camera & Video full HD

(-)
• The price is relatively expensive
